Good Vibes Only Blog Tour

Ok Guys, I’m going to be saying Rainbow a lot in this blog post!

Welcome to my Stop on the Good Vibes Only Blog Tour! Good Vibes only is the newest fabric collection by Shayla Wolf for Windham Fabrics and it is the perfect rainbow! There are 32 prints in total and they are all beautiful and the blend of colours….. just perfection! Its such a fun line! They are available for Pre-order now and will be in shops very soon!

When I first received this bundle of fabric, I had no idea I was going to get the whole collection and it was packaged so pretty! so the ribbon stayed on for at least a week before I could pull myself together and undo it.

But when I did and arranged them into rainbow order….. Wowee this really is the perfect rainbow! I wanted to use as many of the fabrics from the collection as possible because they are all so amazing so I decided to sew up my Believe Unicorn pattern, If you wanted to have a go at this pattern too, you can find it here. It has the option to sew a rainbow background and the low volumes in this collection are just perfect for the unicorn itself. I added a border to the bottom of the pattern and turned it into a banner and here it is finished.

I love the little “Hello’s” and inspirational words jotted about these fabrics, they are so perfect for fussy cutting, even the selvedge is awesome! so I added that to my unicorns fringe and popped a little hello in her ear.

A Fat quarter bundle really does go along way! I had enough fabric left to make a matching tote bag and a pretty big one at that, it measures 20″W, 17″ H, 4.75″ D. The rainbow back mixed with the low volume prints look super cute and I can just flip it round and still have a cool looking bag! I constructed the bag in the same way you would a cube so I was able to add texture by quilting each panel differently, I’m really pleased with how it turned out and ill be totally rocking this bag this summer!

Its been an absolute pleasure working with these fabrics! I’ve had the best of fun, they really do give you Good Vibes! Thankyou so much Shayla and the team for having me join in the fun. I’ve loved every minute.
